Seattle
“To be tempted and indulged by the city’s most brilliant chefs. It’s the dream of every one of us in love with food.” - Gael Greene
About The Tours
TheCityTour offers you a pleasant walk through a local neighborhood, stopping at four different lovely restaurants for an "insider's experience" and gourmet treats!
At each stop, you'll meet a key member of the staff, experience an entertaining presentation and then enjoy a sample of their signature cuisine. Your walking guide will take you from venue to venue. [ read more about the tours ] [ read the F.A.Q. ]
Seattle's Cuisine Scene
The pearl of the Northwest is as experimental with its cuisine as it is with its music and this has led to justifiable comparisons to Copenhagen’s cutting edge gourmet movement (where Noma has retained the title of world’s best restaurant three years in a row now). The creative use of fresh local ingredients along with a whimsical approach to traditional methods is what keeps this city on the culinary apex of the restaurant world.
Fodor’s introduced the restaurant scene in Seattle as such, “Thanks to inventive chefs, first-rate local produce, adventurous diners, and a bold entrepreneurial spirit, Seattle has become one of the culinary capitals of the nation. Fearless young chefs have stepped in and raised the bar. Nowadays, fresh and often foraged produce, local seafood, and imaginative techniques make the quality of local cuisine even higher.”

Featured Neighborhoods
Downtown
- Downtown serves as the heart of the city of Seattle representing a gathering place for workers, shoppers, parade-goers, sports fans, tourists and food enthusiasts alike.
- Did you know that Seattleites buy more sunglasses per capita than any other city which is quite an antidote to the reputation the city has for inclement weather, clouds and rain.
- We are confident that with our sunglasses adorned and offerings made to Thor (Norse god of Thunder) that our tours will be present a bright and gastronomically satisfying experience to all who join in.
Belltown
- Found in the heart of Seattle along Elliott Bay on the Puget Sound, Belltown offers countless award winning restaurants, nightclubs, and bars guaranteeing excitement
- Did you know that Seattle’s houseboat population is the country’s largest at almost 500 and the largest outside Asia? Do be rest assured that all of our walking is done on dry land!
- We take inspiration from the sustainability efforts that Seattleites are known for and try to showcase restaurants along our tour that espouse their commitment to it in both spirit and practice.
Capitol Hill
- While recent development has turned this one time blue-collar enclave into a hip, urban village, it still maintains its quaint storefronts and pedestrian-friendly atmosphere
- Did you know that Capitol Hill got its name because the Emerald City was supposed to be the capital of Washington State and the state Capitol building was to be built over a hundred years ago?
- Our tours complement the diversity that this city has been known to embrace and take our guests on a culinary journey that introduces them to experiences and tastes from the world over.
